The 100 year gala celebration and fundraiser to benefit the Scandinavian Living Center in Newton MA was held at the Balera Ballroom in nearby Auburndale, MA. There were about 150 guests who attended the event. In addition to a wonderful dinner, guests had an opportunity to bid on auctioned items such as sports & opera tickets, vacations, jewelry and other highly sought after items. We had our entire culinary team who all played integral roles in the execution of an extraordinary exhibition style dinner enjoyed by the attendees. At the end of the night our client asked if we could provide service for their next 100 year celebration!

Chef Mark and his team at Zelma Lacey tested our new promotion “The Summer Picnic”! A twist on the traditional turkey dinner with some fun summer favorites. Today the team set-up a Hydration Station with fresh squeezed lemonade & sweet tea, lemon rosemary turkey w/creamy red bliss potato salad, zesty pasta salad w/grilled vegetables, watermelon tossed with basil & honey, roasted green beans, cranberry chutney, buttermilk biscuits & honey maple corn bread and specialty desserts of peach & raspberry cobbler shooters. The usual white linens were replaced with classic red & white checkered clothes, a nice touch to set the atmosphere for the residents. Great job by the team!
